Our Story
Bistro égalité opened in Komaba-Todaimae in 2013 with the concept of “A French Journey on the Table.” Then we moved to Meguro in 2022.
French regional cuisine is rooted in the topography, climate, and local culture and climate and has long been a part of daily life.
Chef’s dishes are sprinkled with the essence of the cuisine he has cultivated at renowned restaurants in Japan and abroad.
ビストロエガリテは「テーブルの上でフランスの旅」をコンセプトに2013年駒場東大にオープン。2022年に目黒駅に移転いたしました。
地形や気候、土地の文化と風土に根付き、暮らしの中で長く愛されてきたフランスの郷土料理。
国内外の名店で培ったエッセンスが随所に散りばめられたシェフのお皿。
We serve “bistronomic” cuisine that combines the elements of bistro and gastronomy with handcrafted wines from various regions of France.
With the sense of resembling a local restaurant and chansons playing in the background, please enjoy a culinary journey in France.

Yuichi Tanaka
Yuichi was born in Kumamoto Prefecture. Fascinated by the French cuisine at Kumamoto Hotel Castle, which he visited for training during his vocational school days, he entered the world of French cuisine. After graduation, he trained at Quatre Cents Takamatsu and Jean Moulin Kobe. Then he worked in France at the 1-star “Auberge Grand’ Maison” in Brittany and the 2-star “Hotel Le Juana, La Terrasse” in Cannes. After returning to Japan, he worked as a chef at “Ne Quittez pas” in Gotanda, “Le Petit Bedon” in Daikanyama, and “Le Petit Tonneau” in Toranomon before opening Bistro égalité in 2013.
While working in the kitchen daily, he has worked on tie-up products with major companies, appeared in the media, and worked with a culinary school to train younger chefs. He also enjoys running, which he began based on his belief that “chefs should be healthy.”
毎日厨房に立ちながら大手企業とのタイアップ商品を手掛けたりメディア出演をしたり、又調理師学校との連携を計りながら後進の育成にも尽力。シェフだからこそ健康にと始めたランニングが趣味。

The range of wines is carefully selected from wineries across France.The wineries are mainly small, family-run wineries, but they are all passionate about handcrafting.Around 20 wines are always available by the glass.
